The following managers represent a combined industry experience of more than 80 years. Each has held positions in mobile, media and web.
Prior to taking on his current role, Guy was Vice President of Business Development at Proteus for four years. In that role he structured deals with major media companies such as NBC Universal, News Corp, Disney, Discovery Communications, Inc. and Scripps Networks. Guy also oversaw the expansion of Proteus' reach into Latin American markets and new industry verticals.
Guy was the Senior Vice President of Business Development for New York-based Oddcast, Inc. Guy played a critical role in building deep business relationships with major advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies at Oddcast, helping the company achieve recognition in the early days of rich media advertising and user-generated media tools.
Guy is originally from New York City and holds a Master of Arts in Law & Diplomacy from The Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
Jim Shilale; VP, Business Development
Jim brings to Proteus more than a decade of experience in high-tech sales, marketing, account management and product development, along with extensive knowledge of mobile marketing, Web 2.0 and rich media.
He joins the company from Velti, a global mobile marketing solutions provider, where he served as Vice President, Business and Product Development for North America. Prior to Velti, Jim held key leadership roles at Monster Worldwide and OneSwitch. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a B.A. in Economics and holds an M.B.A. from Boston University Graduate School of Management.
Sunil Doshi; Director, Products
Sunil has been a part of Proteus since 1999. He currently leads the company's creative team. Since joining Proteus, Sunil has played a hands-on role in almost every aspect of project implementation, from interface design to content development and high-level strategy. He has had leading roles on projects for major brands such as FOX News, FOX Sports, HBO, Discovery Channel, ABC, Sprint, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, Motorola and MasterCard. Currently, Sunil leads the productization efforts of Proteus' core competencies, which includes the product development and design of Swift™, Proteus' dynamic WAP platform.
Prior to Proteus, Sunil studied film at New York University and received a degree in media studies from Pennsylvania State University.
Mike Ford; Director, Operations
Mike holds a Master of Science in Project Management degree from The George Washington University, where he was awarded the Project Management Program Award for Excellence. He has also been certified as a Project Management Professional.
Prior to joining Proteus in 2005, Mike accumulated over 15 years of engineering and operational experience at such companies as AT&T Wireless, Harman International, Toyota and General Motors.
Matt Garlick; Director, Latin America
Matt is responsible for Proteus' expansion into the Latin American region, managing operations and sales and business development efforts pan-regionally. Prior to Proteus, Matt was a Senior Analyst and Research Manager at Dow Jones VentureOne, the world's leading venture capital research firm. While at VentureOne, he led their primary venture capital research group and was responsible for tracking the business progress and financing plans of thousands of venture-backed companies in the U.S. Matt also produced custom analytical reports and aggregate statistics on the US, European and Israeli venture capital industries, and assisted with media relations.
Prior to VentureOne, Matt founded the New Era Galapagos Foundation, an NGO based in San Cristobal, Galapagos, dedicated to the conservation of the Galapagos Islands through the empowerment of local residents through educational programs and environmental action projects. Matt received an M.A. in International Relations from Boston University, and a dual B.A. in Economics and Spanish from Creighton University.
Ian Heffernan; Director, Technology
Ian joined Proteus in 2004 after five years at American Management Systems, Inc. (now CGI-AMS) where he was a lead developer and subject matter expert within the Financial Services Group. At AMS, Ian oversaw the transition of their CACS collections application from a Cobol/mainframe-based system to a next-generation, web-based solution. Since joining Proteus, Ian has been the lead architect and developer for their binary content delivery system, MERX. He has also been actively involved in the architecture and development of Proteus' dynamic WAP solution, Swift™. In his current role as Director of Technology, Ian leads the company's team of developers and engineers in designing and creating innovative mobile solutions. Ian received his Bachelor of Science in Science-Computing from the University of Notre Dame.
Lindsay Rall; Director, Marketing
In her role, Lindsay is focused on product development and marketing for Proteus. She also supports the business development team in its sales efforts and works closely with the management team to improve overall operations of the company. Prior to joining Proteus, Lindsay spent seven years at Handango, the leading smartphone content publisher. While there, she drove marketing, product management and operations efforts, and executed programs with industry leaders such as Microsoft, RIM and Nokia, helping to grow the company from a small Internet start-up into a multi-million dollar, global software provider.
Lindsay is originally from Texas and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Richmond with a finance degree.
